Conference on Caring the Left-behind Children in Rural Jiangsu was held on
November 21. It also coincided with the first anniversary of the establishment
of the Online School for Parents. Vice Governor Zhang Jiuhan attended the
conference and delivered a speech.
He pointed
out protecting left-behind children in the rural area is imperative for
guaranteeing children¡¯s basic rights and healthy growth, for the protection of
the farmers¡¯interests and the insurance of social equity, and for the building
of a new socialist countryside and a harmonious society. Various parties in the
society need to get involved, specifically school supervision, family education,
the support and caring from the general public and child care services of the
society. As the work related to left-behind children is about systems
engineering in the society, Vice Governor Zhang required authorities at various
levels shall adopt effective measures to put in place the plan of the central
government in line with the local reality. |
