The Delegation of Qinghua University led by Party Secretary of Qinghua University Chen Xi visited Jiangsu on April 11th. Secretary of the Provincial Committee Liang Baohua and Governor Luo Zhijun met Chen Xi and the delegation in Nanjing, and they achieved agreement on many aspects.
　　In the meeting, Liang Baohua first showed welcome on behalf on the Provincial Committee, and the Provincial Government. He said, Jiangsu and Qinghua have formulated close cooperative relation, especially since the two parties signed the cooperative contract in 2003. The relation has become closer, and the field of cooperation has been extended. Great achievements have been made on many aspects. According to the incomprehensive statistics, Qinghua University has trained 4,600 students of different majors for Jiangsu, and Qinghua University also has more than 260 programs in Jiangsu, generating considerable economic and social profit.
　　Liang Baohua said, we are carrying out the designation of Secretary-General Hu Jintao to the work in Jiangsu carefully. We are fulfilling the scientific outlook on development, accelerating the transformation of economic development mode, improving the ability of innovation, and realizing the transformation of growth motivation from investment to innovation and the transformation of the crucial element from material resources to human resources. We are trying to make“Made in Jiangsu”transform into“Created in Jiangsu.”We need to further implement the strategy of invigorating Jiangsu through science and education, accelerate the pace of constructiong a new province, and promote the cooperation in production, study and research. We welcome Qinghua University to transform more scientific results in Jiangsu; we welcome more teachers and students from Qinghua University to Jiangsu to start a career and make innovation; we welcome more Qinghua graduates to work in Jiangsu.
