On the afternoon of August 20, the provincial committee and provincial government held a teleconference on promoting security in Jiangsu and improving the mediation mechanism, the prevention system and the grassroots infrastructure. Party Secretary Li Yuanchang raised the requirement on the conference that the CPC Committee and governments at all levels should put people’s safety first, enhance security in Jiangsu with greater ambition and effort, and renew Jiangsu’s safety record.
