On August 14 Governor Liang Baohua chaired the Standing Conference of Provincial Government on the work of health care. It was emphasized on the conference that guided by the central government and the State Council’s ordinances and according to the requirement of building a harmonious society, the health care system reform should be deepened to benefit the entire population. To this end, it is incumbent to improve the infrastructure, scale up the input and build the basic health care system covering both urban and rural residents. Comprehensive measures should be adopted to ease the strain and lower the price of health care and meanwhile to provide safe, effective, convenient and inexpensive public health and basic medical services to the public.
