On the evening of October 22nd, a concert with the theme of “The Long March—An Eternal Song” was ceremoniously held in Nanjing Wutaishan Gymnasium to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the success of the long march. Party Secretary Li Yuanchao, Governor Liang Baohua, Chairman of Political Consultative Conference of Jiangsu Province Xu Zhonglin and Deputy Political Commissar of Nanjing Military Area Command Gao Wusheng etc. watched this performance.
     Li Yuanchao and Liang Baohua etc conducted friendly conversation with Xiang Shouzhi and other eight Red Army veterans before the performance. Li Yuanchao said that, without these Red Army veterans, there wouldn’t be a new China and people’s happy life. We should inherit and carry forward the great spirit of the Long March to construct the new life.
