On October 22nd, Jingsu Province held a seminar to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the Success of the Long March in Nanjing. Party Secretary Li Yuanchao pointed out that, we should promote the policy of “two initiatives” to carry out the great spirit of the Long March. And we should make our contribution to construct a rich, powerful, enlightened and harmonious socialist modern country. Liang Baohua presided over this seminar.
     Some representatives of Red Army veterans were present at the seminar, including Wang Jingqun, Lai Dayuan, Xue Zhongtian, Lin Shan, Xiao Fu, Li Yanfu, Wang Futong, Li Zhiyi and Suo Xinzhong. All of them received fresh flowers, and shook hands with Li Yuanchao and Liang Baohua. On behalf of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, Provincial Government and the whole People of Jiangsu, Li Yuanchao and Liang Baohua paid honor to all the Red Army veterans and their families.
     Some people delivered their speeches at the seminar including the leading cadres of the Political Department of Jiangsu Provincial Military Area Command and Party History Office of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, young students’ representatives and some Red Army veterans, such as Xiao Fu, Wang Jingqun and Lin Shan. All of them looked back on the process history of the Long March. And they said that they would try their best to promote the development of Jiangsu in the spirit of Long March.
