From October 20th to 21st, a large delegation with nearly 100 people led by Wang yang, the Secretary of Chongqing Municipal Committee of the CPC, made investigations in Jiangsu. The delegation was accompanied by Party Secretary Li Yuanchao and Governor Liang Baohua. On the morning of October 21st, Jiangsu Province and Chongqing held an Economic and Social Development Session in Nanjing to discuss cooperative plans.
　　At the session, Li Yuanchao welcomed the arrival of this delegation. He said that, Chongqing seized good opportunities to form a vital economic and cultural centre, a hub of transportation and communication, and a modern industrial base of western part since reform and opening-up. The achievements of Chongqing’s economic development were very remarkable.
　　Liang Baohua presided over the session. He said that, the arrival of Chongqing delegation was a good opportunity for us to strengthen our cooperation. We should continuously support the “Three Gorges Project” and the reservoir region construction, and promote the cooperation and exchanges among enterprises. We should also promote the cooperation in fields of personal services, shipping, physical distribution and traveling. And we should make our cooperation become closer and closer so as to promote the development of Jiangsu and Chongqing.
